Celebrating turning 2!

Um, my plan was to set up a photo shoot on our covered porch area. The light was perfect. The backdrop supported the Elmo "Happy birthday" sign in exactly the right spot.
She decided it would be more fun to run and explore the neighborhood. None of my cute gimmicks could compete. So, I laughed and went with it.

This one is in front of a neighbor's door. If she had gone according to plan, I'd have a few more of these!
I know the crop is terrible, but the backlighting was so beautiful, and her expression is priceless. I love this shot.

We tried the birthday cake thing again. I couldn't find my backdrop (later discovered it in the dryer >DOH!< ) so I used this. It gave a bit of a green cast to her skin, so these are going to take some serious editting to get right. Bummer. But I love the idea, I've seen it lots on 2Peas and decided I had to try it too.
