Some summer fun

K. is happily reaquainting herself with her gills as swimming season finally kicks in to full swing. S. decided to hang poolside instead yesterday. Go figure!

This series was taken after "the Da", aka my dad rescued this turtle from their pool. The girls loved checking him out in their big plastic bowl. Finally, we released him out near the stream. We only left after she made it safely to the water. K. immediately named her "Poola". I'm loving the smiles on the girls so much that I almost don't mind that they are looking away.

S. and K. enjoyed helping me make end of the year cookies! They prefer good ol' chocolate chip over white choc. chip and cherries. But both kinds were fun to make!

Another ending.

K's after school program celebrated the end of the year with a big party last night. We all had a ball, and K didn't want it to end. She loved being able to dress up and play a role for a theme- I know, shocker!
What a nice way to get ready for summer!

Just a few updates...

Our little girl is getting bigger! She "graduated", um "bridged" from a Daisy Girl Scout to a Brownie a few weeks ago. She is happy to be bigger, but liked the title of "Daisy" better- of course! We had an amazing dinner at a Japenese steak house, which all the girls found exciting.

As the year comes to a close, there are lots of events.

I know it's an awful shot of her, but...this was taken outside of K's school, right after her "poetry Celebration". It was super cute, and she did very well. Two Kindergarten classes sat/stood on stage and recited about ten poems celebrating the four seasons. She was proud, but pooped!
